#WeSeaThrough
#WeSeaThrough started as an artistic investigation, collaboratively conceived by Marina and video artist, Danilo. Their goal was to generate meaningful dialogue around the hidden harms of micro-plastics and potential solutions to this growing problem.
We have all seen the disturbing images of plastics clogging our shorelines, swirling in enormous mid-ocean gyres, and even settling in the deepest depths. Yet these scenes are only the tip of the iceberg.
Earth’s waterways, food sources, soils—and our own bodies—are contaminated with micro-plastics that are invisible to the naked eye.
This motivated Marina to create conversations around this topic wearing the most sustainable outfit of all: her bare skin. She was joined by 10+ key organizational collaborators, among the likes of The Ellen McArthur Foundation, Nomoreplastic, 5Gyres, GreenPeace, and more, to raise awareness around the issue.
